Crassula Perforata – String of Buttons
A fascinating succulent has an intriguing appearance. Fleshy grey-green leaves, with red edges, spiral around the stems to create unusual stacks of foliage. The young stems are upright but gradually become more prostrate as they grow, eventually trailing downwards with maturity. Crassula perforata, or String of Buttons as it is commonly known, is a relatively quick-growing plant. It thrives in a bright sunny spot, and makes a fine windowsill plant, mingling well with other succulents as part of a low maintenance display.
